Active and aspiring entrepreneurs from the populous City of Malabon gathered early last June 22, 2024 at the Activity Center of Robinsons Malabon for Go Negosyo’s 3M on Wheels. Malabon, home to many successful homegrown industries, welcomed the volunteer mentors from Go Negosyo who provided free entrepreneurship mentoring to the hundreds of small businessmen in attendance.
In his message during the event, Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion thanked the business organizations, the local government, event sponsors, as well as the Department of Trade and Industry for helping with the event. “We see that the success rate of helping MSMES is higher when government and private sector work together. This is how we help our MSMEs,” he said. He also advised small entrepreneurs to create a good business plan so that they can better access capital through the small-business lending institutions, and to learn content creation to be able to promote their products and services using social media.
3M on Wheels is held regularly across the Philippines as part of Go Negosyo’s advocacy to provide access to the three M’s essential to entrepreneurship success: money, markets and mentorship. Alongside the free mentoring, Go Negosyo also organized booths hosted by financial and logistics services companies as well as government agencies and business groups.
Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval sent her message of support of the event. On hand to welcome the attendees were Jasmin Mataya, Local Economic Development And Investment Promotion Office OIC; Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Malabon President Philip Lirag; Malabon Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Benjamin Chua; Yolly Dela Cruz, Regional Governor of PCCI NCR North Sector; Hernando Delizo, Area Vice President of PCCI NCR; Joey Francisco, Regional Governor of PCCI NCR Central Sector; Helen Lising, president of PCCI Valenzuela; and Mark Lisaca, president of PCCI Manila. Sharing how digital technology was able to help her small business was content creator and Sweet Creatures owner Jianne Ulrich.
Early-bird attendees went home with copies of Go Negosyo’s “Eight Success Tips for Small Businesses”. Cleanzone PH CEO & Co-founder Jordan Patente hosted the event. ENDS
