Proponents of the Kapatid Angat Lahat saAgri Program (KALAP) lent their support to the Convergence Initiatives to Increase Rice Productivity through the Masagana Rice Industry Development Program (MRIDP), at an event held at the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) offices in Quezon City last May 31, 2023.Under the MOU, The MRIDP aims to ensure a vibrant, resilient and sustainable rice industry, with the goal of achieving at least 95 percent rice self-sufficiency by year 2027. 

Go Negosyo initiated KALAP to empower and scale up support fornation-building by integrating MSMEs into the value chain of large agriculture companies, enabling small-holder farmers, and fisherfolk to become more productive, profitable, sustainable, and competitive. Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion remarked that local governments are a crucial partner in KALAP as they are also the big-brothers of the small farmers and work alongside private sector to uplift the sector.
