Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion has lauded the appointment of Dr. Ted Herbosa and Gilbert Teodoro as secretaries of Department of Health (DOH) and Department of National Defense, respectively.
“President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made the right decision in appointing Dr. Herbosa and Teodoro to their respective positions because they are more than qualified,” said Concepcion.
“We congratulate Dr. Herbosa for his appointment as DOH Secretary. I am confident that with him at the helm, the DOH is in good hands and our country’s healthcare would be in a better situation,” Concepcion said.
Concepcion added that Dr. Herbosa’s vast experience will be put to good use in his new position as he tries to further advance the country’s recovery from the pandemic.
Concepcion was among the first to recommend Dr. Herbosa as DOH Secretary when President Marcos assumed office last year after he served as medical adviser of the National Task Force Against COVID-19.
Dr. Herbosa also provided valuable guidance and advice to Go Negosyo’s efforts through the Advisory Council of Experts (ACE) against COVID-19, especially on its “A Dose of Hope” initiative that helped inoculate millions of workers.
As for Teodoro, Concepcion said his experience as a former Defense Secretary during the Arroyo administration will help the Marcos’ government efforts to defend and protect our territory.
Aside from being a former Defense Secretary, Teodoro was a Bar topnotcher in 1989 and a former three-term representative of the 1st District of Tarlac in the House of Representatives. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Law from Harvard University.
Herbosa, for his part, served as health undersecretary from 2010 to 2015 under the administration of then President Benigno Aquino III and as Executive Vice President of the University of the Philippines System from October 2017 to April 2021.
