GO NEGOSYO’S free entrepreneurship mentoring program 3M on Wheels was rolled out in the Visayas last June 29, 2024 as it held the popular mall-based program at the SM Seaside City Cebu in Cebu City. Nearly a thousand active and aspiring entrepreneurs filled the mall’s Mountain Wing Atrium to receive entrepreneurship coaching from veteran entrepreneurs and successful business executives, bringing it closer to its overall goal of helping 200,000 MSMEs by 2028 and generating more employment for Filipinos.
Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion welcomed the Cebuano entrepreneurs in attendance and encouraged them to continue to scale up their businesses. “It is very important that we help MSMEs scale up so that they do not remain small forever,” he said. “If we scale up, our Philippine economy will grow… it is the only way for our country to progress.” He also noted how technology has made entrepreneurship more inclusive and accessible, enabling even small businesses to promote themselves through social media.
He thanked the Department of Trade and Industry and the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry for bringing 3M on Wheels to the province of Cebu, specifically CCCI president Jay Yuvallos, French Baker founder Johnlu Koa, Famcor’s Nonoy Espeleta, former Department of Education executive director and Misamis Oriental vice governor Joey Pelaez, and Island Souvenirs’ Jay Aldeguer.
The 3M on Wheels event in Cebu featured a talk on entrepreneurial mindsetting by French Baker’s Koa, and the use of social media to promote businesses by travel content creator Paolo Rigotti.
3M on Wheels comprises many of the more than 150 mentorship events conducted by Go
Negosyo in all 17 regions of the Philippines. Through these events, it reaches out to MSMEs from various industries like food, retail, agriculture, tourism, personal services, and more.
Go Negosyo has held 3M on Wheels events in Batangas, Pampanga, Bataan, and Baguio, and is expected in other urban areas later this year, including Pangasinan, La Union, Cagayan de Oro, and Iloilo.
3M on Wheels is the on-ground, nationwide mentoring program started in 2018 and inspired by the growing number of Filipinos turning to entrepreneurship to lift themselves out of poverty. It aims to give MSMEs access to the three M’s essential to successful entrepreneurship – Mentorship, Money, and Market – reflecting its overarching mission of providing not just mentorship, but also access to capital and markets.
During 3M on Wheels, participants receive one-on-one coaching from veteran entrepreneurs and successful business executives. Finance service providers, meanwhile, introduce entrepreneurs to facilities for small-business lending, while specialists in different marketing channels are on hand to introduce solutions that cover everything from establishing physical stores and digital platforms, to logistics solutions and digital payment platforms. Participants can also inquire at booths from potential franchise or business opportunities. And to assist the entrepreneurs in their regulatory affairs, government agencies are on hand to answer questions on documentation, certifications, and applications.
Let’s get in touch.
We’d love to hear from you.
