Every year, I am a part of two important gatherings dedicated to aspiring and startup entrepreneurs: the OFW and Family Summit, and the Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards.

Villar Sipag Foundation headed by Sen. Cynthia Villar, former Senate President Manny Villar and Congressman Mark Villar in partnership with Go Negosyo opened the Fourth OFW & Family Summit. It was another successful OFW Summit as we were jam-packed with more than 5,000 OFWs and their families. This summit highlighted the opportunities on direct selling, franchising and agri-business which are available in our country and can be the new career path for our OFWs.

The 12th Citi Microentrepreneurship Awards (CMA) is an awards program organized by Citi Foundation in partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and Microfinance Council of the Philippines (MCPI) to recognize outstanding microentrepreneurs who used micro-finance in funding their enterprises, which improved their lives and their communities.
