Go Negosyo led by its founder Joey Concepcion together with Sen. Grace Poe, Sen. Cynthia Villar, Rep. Leni Robredo, trustees, partners, and 2016 Inspiring Filipina Awardees welcomed more than 10,000 participants to the 8th Filipina Entrepreneurship Summit (FES8) last Thursday, Feb. 18, at the World Trade Center.
Over 1,000 micro and small entrepreneurs as well as students from more than 200 schools and universities from all over the country joined the summit. The 50 top women entrepreneurs also shared their stories to empower and inspire the aspiring, micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs in the audience.
The biggest women negosyo summit of the year featured women icons such as Karen Davila, Sandy Prieto-Romualdez, Maria Ressa, and Miriam Quiambao; and champion entrepreneurs Rosalind Wee, Myrna Yao, Genevieve Ledesma-Tan, Emma Imperial, Olivia Limpe-Aw, Dr. Vivian Sarabia, Laura Bertotto, Catherine Dizon, Chit Juan, and many more.
Go Negosyo also awarded 18 Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneurs: social entrepreneurs Cristina Liamzon (Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship Program), and Fatima Lorenzo (Kythe Foundation); microentrepreneurs Lydia Malot (Lydia’s Nata de Coco), and Teresita Valdez (Viana Food Condiments); small and medium entrepreneurs Amina Aranaz-Alunan (ARANAZ and SoFA Design Institute), Adelfa Borro (Ted’s Oldtime La Paz Batchoy), Delby Bragais (The North Road Image and Fashion Group), Evelyn Lao-Yap (Benby Enterprise), Rossana Llenado (AHEAD Learning System), Rowena Matti (Galileo Enrichment Program), Sherill Quintana (Orsypa Spa Solutions), Yolanda Sevilla (The Leather Collection), Judith Versoza (Aveate Management Group), and Martine Cajucom, Bea Soriano-Dee and Georgina Wilson (Sunnies Studios); and large entrepreneurs Elizabeth Lahoz (Technological Institute of the Philippines), and Abba Napa (The Moment Group).
